For over 30 years, Kitchens of Los Altos has provided homes with custom designed kitchens and baths. Ingrid Curran brings European sensibility together with functionality and style.
"I'm interested in my client's lifestyle and their feeling about space, color and texture. My goal is to go beyond function and create an environment that reflects their individual tastes and personality."
Designs range from minimalist to French Country, from primitive to high-tech. We don't follow trends, because our kitchens should last - the "total look" and our reputation for unusual creative designs and colors create the heart of every home.

At my wife's insistence, we interviewed Ingrid Curran to design the kitchen for our extensive remodel. My wife and I were immediately impressed; She listened very carefully to our preferences and then guided us to a design that both fit our needs and wants and had an aesthetic appeal beyond what we had imagined. We now have a kitchen that is functional, elegant, and timeless. It is the centerpiece of our remodel.
Ingrid really has her heart in her work; She spent the time to get the design right. Even after our contract was complete, Ingrid continued to make sure everything went correctly with the final product.
I will admit that I was hesitant about using a kitchen designer with her own shop in Los Altos as perceived a cost issue. (I like to think of myself as frugal) While Ingrid's original estimate was somewhat more than I had in mind, it was spot on in the end. No surprises. When she gives a price it includes everything (except installation). So, the cost was very reasonable for the beautiful kitchen we now have. Five stars for Ingrid.

My husband and I recently had our kitchen remodeled by Kitchens of Los Altos. The owner and designer is Ingrid Curran. Ingrid has a fabulous and keen eye for design, color,and choice of materials to be used. We thought she was especially great to work with. Her son, David Curran, was our general contractor and he and his subs were fabulous! Their work was perfection and their kind and easy manner was especially great. "If you're looking for someone to design a new kitchen or bath you should definitely talk to Ingrid Curan at Kitchens of Los Altos. We did a complete remodel and Ingrid came up with a great design. She was the only bay area interior designer we spoke with who actually listened to what we wanted and designed around our input. Ingrid is very pleasant to work with and doesn't hold back on sharing her opinions while listening to your requirements at the same time. She is realistic about what things cost and what you can expect for your money. Although you can work with Ingrid, or her son David Curan, independently, we liked the idea of going with a designer and contractor that had worked together many times. We would also highly recommend David as he has great attention to detail and is very easy to work with."

Dear Ingrid, we want to express our deep appreciation for the excellent kitchen, family room, bath room, utility room, garage, and finally the home office design/remodel you have executed for us over the years. Your personal commitment to "getting it right" shows in the functionality and aesthetics of all the rooms.
Everything flows.......you came out to see the variety of equipment and utensils that we use, to place them in the most convenient locations. And we appreciate the follow up trips you made to our home to make sure everything proceeded as per plan.
DC Construction did the remodeling and installation of the cabinetry and appliances etc. with the greatest of care, we might add. We certainly recommend them also for their superior craftsmanship and attention to every detail.
It's not easy to find the dedication and forthrightness demonstrated by Kitchens of Los Altos, and the cost of our projects was reasonable as well.
